College & University Student Body Representatives
ELECTED MEMBERS
Currently the council has 22 elected members, each representing a different population within the Eller College of Management.

Meagan Nichols
Vice President
Meagan is a senior majoring in Management Information Systems and Operations Supply Chain Management. She is also in Eller's Accelerated Master's Program in MIS. In addition to serving as Vice President of the Dean's Council, she works for Eller Transfer Department as a Transfer Student Coordinator. When she is not at school, she enjoys camping, traveling, hanging out with her dogs, or doing a home improvement project!

Daijon Christie
VP of Finance
Daijon is a Junior majoring in Economics and Mathematics. He works as the Financial Aid Peer Advisor for the Women and Gender Resource Center (WGRC). Additionally, he is the president of Delta Lambda Phi, which is a fraternity for queer and trans folk. In his free time, you can find him binging horror movies or grabbing Boba with friends!

Tyler Rountree
VP of Membership
Tyler Rountree is a current junior studying MIS and Accounting with a minor in Spanish. He currently serves as the Vice President of Membership for Dean's Council and formerly held the VP of Information Technology position. He has been a member of Dean's Council since the end of his freshman year and his favorite part of Dean's Council is the relationships and mentorships that he's built over the past three years. You can find Tyler around Eller as Vice Chair of Eller's SAGE (Sexual and Gender Equality Board) or preceptor for BCOM 314. On the side, Tyler has been a piano player for about 15 years and enjoys trying new foods!

Ethan Hefflin
VP of External Affairs
Ethan Hefflin is a junior at Eller studying Accounting and Management Information Systems. He is currently serving as the Vice President of External Affairs on Dean's Council and is the President of the Arizona Consulting Club. In the past, he has been able to develop strong professional skillsets and strengthen relationships in Eller through their leadership involvements in a professional business fraternity and Investments Club. In his free time, he enjoys playing tennis, hiking, and spending time with friends!

Celeste Mesa
VP of Information Technology
Celeste Mesa is a junior majoring in Finance with a minor in Gender & Women’s Studies. She is the VP of Information Technology for Dean’s Council, VP of Programming for the Eller Leadership Board, and the VP of External Affairs for the Arizona Consulting Club. In her free time, she enjoys rollerskating, grabbing boba, and spending time with friends and family!

Martha Cress
VP of Correspondence
Martha Cress is currently a senior majoring in Business Management and is also pursuing a Sports Management Certificate. This is her 3rd year on Dean's Council and the current VP of Correspondence. Outside of ECDC, she is a part of Eller Diversity Leadership Council, Eller Hispanic Honorary, and a Resident Assistant. When not on campus, she love hanging out with friends, watching hockey, and watching/playing volleyball.

Kaitlyn Hsu
VP of Public Relations
Kaitlyn Hsu is an Honors Marketing student at the University of Arizona with a minor in Global Business and East Asian Studies (Chinese Language emphasis). She is the VP of DEI on the Eller Leadership Board and VP of Public Relations on the Eller College Dean's Council. This past summer she interned with Nature Nate's Honey Co. in McKinney, Texas developing new marketing tactics for existing campaigns. She has a huge passion for art and frequently take on commissions for digital media projects. Some of her life joys include hiking, road-tripping, writing, and cooking new recipes.

Ishan Shah
VP of Alumni Relations
Ishan is currently a senior majoring in Marketing and MIS. He serves on Dean’s Council as the VP of Alumni Relations, is the President of the Rising Stars in Marketing, and is a campus ambassador for NBC Universal. In his free time he enjoys hanging out with friends and eating at Olive Garden.

Johnson Liu
VP of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion
Johnson Liu is a senior studying Business Economics and MIS. He is from Tianjin, China, and moved to the US to pursue a bachelor's degree. This past Summer 2022, he was a Financial Planning & Analytics intern at NAM Philips. He is involved with multiple extra-curriculum activities; he is the VP of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion of ECDC, the Vice President of Eller College Chinese Student Council, and an active member of the Advanced Zipperman Scholars Program.

Olivia Mar
Student Success Chair
Olivia is originally from Tucson, Arizona. She is a senior majoring in Economics with a minor in Government and Public Policy. Olivia is also involved in the Women in Economics club at Eller. She currently coaches club volleyball where she once played and spends her free time working out and exploring new restaurants. Olivia’s goal is to help the students at the Eller College of Management voice their concerns and opinions within a safe place where initiative is taken. She believes everyone’s beliefs, concerns, and opinions matter and aims to make her peers college experience informative, supportive, and inclusive. Olivia is dedicated to nurturing and improving Eller’s dynamic. Due to her desire and passion for excellence, she will further her efforts with her extensive research and analysis for her honors thesis in Economics during the academic year of 2022-2023. Olivia’s determination to serve as a direct liaison between students and staff stem from her own wonderful connections she has made during her time at Eller. Eller has given her wonderful memories, opportunities, and irreplaceable connections that she wants to return to her peers. Eller, as well as her classmates, and professors continue to teach her valuable lessons inside and outside of the classroom. To her Eller is much more than a school, it is now a community she calls home.

Ngoc Nguyen
Staff & Faculty Recognition Chair
Ngoc is a rising junior studying Accounting and Management Information Systems at the University of Arizona. He actively participates in different on-campus organizations and holds different leadership positions, prominently as the Co-President for Accounting Student Association/Beta Alpha Psi and the Staff Recognition Chair for the Eller College Dean council. Proactive to adapt, highly motivated, and optimistic are just a few words to describe his strength. Ngoc is looking to thrive and be better day by day!

Elisa Magallanes
Co-VP of Diversity; Equity & Inclusion
Elisa is a junior studying Accounting and Communications. Originally from California, she has lived in several countries and is a proud polyglot. As Vice President of Diversity Equity and Inclusion, she works to create a more inclusive community within the college. Elisa is passionate about uplifting the voices of Hispanic women in finance and will be joining Deutsche Bank as an investment banking summer analyst in New York City. She currently serves as the president of the Association of Latino Professionals for America UA chapter and in her free time enjoys hiking, cooking, and watching Spanish soap operas.

Julia Spencer
Be Heard Week Chair
Julia Spencer is a senior double majoring in accounting and management information systems. In Eller outside of ECDC, Julia is president of the Accounting Students Association (ASAB) and an Eller Ambassador. She is also Mellophone Section Leader for the Pride of Arizona and a member of the pep band. Julia has had internships with HeinfeldMeech and Christina Granillo, CPA. She accepted an internship with EY for the Summer of 2023. Julia plans to get her Master's in Accounting and then work for EY or another Big 4 public accounting firm.

Ken Li
VP of Internal Relations
Haoran (Ken) Li is a senior at the UoA, but is originally from Beijing. He is currently majoring in Accounting and MIS. Outside of ECDC, he is involved in Housing & Residential Life Organizations, works with the SALT Center, and is an AZA Scholar. In his free time he enjoys playing cards!

Quentin Stepp
Eller Expo & Career Showcase Chair
Quentin is currently a senior majoring in Economics and German Studies. He serves on Dean's Council as the Eller Expo & Career Showcase Chair and is the Senior Vice President of Delta Sigma Pi. In his free time, he enjoys hanging out with friends and making fun memories!

Darya Abtahi
Council Member
Darya Abtahi is from Cupertino, California, and has not been afraid to familiarize herself with all of The University of Arizona's offerings. In her freshman year, she joined her dorm's hall council as a liaison for the Coronado Dorm with the National Residence Hall Honorary and later obtained the Director of Marketing position with NRHH. In Eller, she was a part of PACE, Premier, and the Business of Entertainment club. She is thrilled to continue her passion for student government with the Dean's Council!

Anne Pagel
Advisor
Anne Pagel is the Associate Dean of Undergraduate students.

Johara Mohammed
President
Johara Mohammed is a senior from Addis Ababa, Ethiopia pursuing a double major in MIS and OSCM. Previously, Johara served as the VP of External Affairs within ECDC and now aids in the facilitation of relationships within Eller. In addition to Dean’s Council, she serves as the Vice President of the Eller African American Honorary and works part-time at Eller’s IT Department. In her free time Johara enjoys reading, going on hikes, or getting in a quick gym session!

Melina Davis
Council Member
Melina Davis, who goes by MJ, intends on majoring in Marketing and Entrepreneurship and has a minor in Anthropology. She is currently a member of the Dean’s Council but is also a part of the Eller Leadership Board. Once she graduates, she would like to go into sports marketing and then eventually start her own business that focuses on providing a variety of athletes with a healthy environment and culture to train and grow in. She also has a strong passion for promoting Diversity Equity and Inclusion in all spaces so she decided to minor in Anthropology to help give her more insight as to how I can do that. She is very excited to start the new year and see what Eller has in store for Dean's Counci!

Farida Eyub
Council Member
Farida Eyub is an incoming Accounting major at the Eller College of Management. On campus, she is involved with the Accounting Student Association and the Muslim Student Association, where she currently serves as President. In recently joining the Eller College Dean's Council, she is extremely eager to have an impact on the Eller Experience. Off-campus, she assists in the operations of her family-owned freight company.

Hannah Hudson
Council Member
Hannah is a Junior majoring in Business Management and is a W.A. Franke Honors College student. In addition to Dean’s Council, she is Concerts Director for the Wildcat Events Board and works for the Eller Career Coach marketing team. In her free time, she is attending concerts, watching movies, mountain biking and hiking, reading, stargazing, and watercolor painting.

Adiah Jackson
Council Member
Adiah Jackson is from Boise, ID, and is majoring in Accounting. He is involved in Beta Alpha Psi, Eller College Dean's Council, and previously in Premier. He is passionate about helping others succeed and in his free time he enjoys partaking in photography!

Connor Carpenter
Council Member
Connor is from Madison, WI, and is a sophomore majoring in Accounting with a Minor in Real Estate. In addition to Deans Council, he is involved with Eller Management Association and Financial Freedom Club. In his free time, he enjoys playing Intramural sports, being outdoors, and hanging with friends!

Derek Encinas
Council Member
Derek is a sophomore who was born in Mexico but has lived most of his life here in the Tucson Arizona area. He is planning to pursue a major in Accounting at Eller. In his free time, Derek enjoys playing sports, working out, and trying new foods!

Karla Arvizu
Council Member
Karla is originally from Tucson but has lived all her life in Cananea, Sonora, Mexico. She is currently an Honors Accounting student with a minor in Spanish. She is very involved around campus as she takes pride in being the Vice President of Community Service for the Eller Hispanic Honorary, a board member for the Eller Student Excellence Fund, and a member of both ALPFA and Spark. Aside from this, she is an Intern Lead for Cultural and Inclusive Experiential Learning Opportunities, also known as CIELO, and has accepted an offer to be a summer intern with Raytheon Technologies. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, watching moves on repeat, and trying new foods!
